I read the service manual and my laptop is able to support CPUs up to Core 2 Duo T9300. The FSB limit is 800MHz due to the IntelGM965 chipset. Currently it is a Pentium Dual Core T2330. Start on the bottom removing all the screws on the chassis. I would recommend having a flat surface that you can place the screws on in the same way the came out (so you have a road map to putting it back together) After that take the keyboard off (typically flaps at the top of it) then the top plastic of the chassis (sometimes you just use a screwdriver and wedge the clips off) From there you should be able to see most of the screws and its just a one at a time piece until the board comes out completely. Theirs a guide for it some ware out their on the net. Just google till you find it. While holding the Up and OK keys down, press and hold the Power key to turn on the printer. Hold all three keys until the Power key stops flashing, usually about 20 seconds. Only try one recommended action at a time and check if the error code has disappeared. http://www.kolsan.pl/kolsan_new/photos/csp3314-chainsaw-manual.xml

When reporting the error, have the following information ready: Without this information, HP Support Personnel cannot help you. For information on the Service Calibrations and how to use them, see Service Calibration Guide to Removal and Installation, Page 6-8 and Chapter 4, Service Calibrations. Also make sure that the Front-Panel cable is not damaged. Try loading white HP media in to the Printer and check if the Line sensor detects it. If the media type allows, always use the automatic skew check feature. If the media type does not allow automatic skew check, manually check that the media is correctly positioned. Perform the Line Sensor Calibration Page 4-15. Replace the Line Sensor Page 6- 128. If you notice any problems with colors, perform the Color Sensor ESP (spectrophotometer) calibration. Refer to Page 4-18. Clear the media path. To clear this, you must lift the Media Lever and insert thicker media into the paper path to push out the media that is still stuck there. If the media is not HP approved, advise the customer to use HP media and check to see if the problem is now solved. Whenever automatic skew check is available for a media type, it should be used. If automatic skew check is not allowed for the media type, manually check that the media is correctly positioned. This makes it more likely that the paper will be bent or damaged. Frequently, the paper curls upward when the paper expands due to ink absorption. The difference is that the Commercial FA Arts Sheets have a weak, irregular edge that often makes the problem worse. To solve the problem, try the following: When sheet media is loaded without the skew check feature, the printer estimates the length of the paper to be 4 times the width. If this estimate is either too short or too long, the printer will not properly eject the media. To solve the problem, try the following: Increasing humidity may help in reducing the severity of the problem. http://www.liga.org.ua/content/advance-3800-manual

Do not attempt to try and replace Printer parts to solve this problem. The paper should load over the The right-hand edge must be Do NOT load the media as you would load roll media, unless you are getting marks on the media with thick cut sheet media. If possible, hand-cut media should not be used. Only purchased sheet media should be used in the Printer. This is the recommended port type when you need to install the printer on the network, so make sure that you have installed the driver with the installer at least once to have this port type available. This kind of problem can often be identified before printing by previewing the print. For example, some software applications assume standard printable areas that are larger than those used in this Printer. Consider using a larger paper size, or border less printing. Whenever possible, load media using the skew check feature. If you try to print an image larger than this from these applications, the bottom of the image will be clipped. In this case, the only way to print the whole image is to reduce the resolution so that the whole image requires fewer than 32,768 pixels. An image 32,768 pixels long would print at a length of 54.61 in or 1.39 m if you select Best or Quality in the driver, 109.23 in or 2.78 m if you select Fast, Normal or Speed in the driver. For the Z3200 it is set to Auto. For older products, or if you want to make sure that the resolution is lowered, you might need to change the setting manually to 300.If so, send the file again and make sure that the Cancel key is not pressed. Check the USB or network cable between the computer and the Printer to make sure it is not damaged and is connected correctly. Compatibility to Enabled. Therefore, they should be restored to their default values if they do not help to solve the problem. Instead, try reducing the resolution of bitmap images in the application software being used. The OS has a limitation in the size of this EMF file. http://grahambettsmotors.com/images/car-owner-manual-free-download.pdf

Currently the drivers that use EMF are: You can do this by going to the Advanced tab of the driver and disabling the Advanced Printing Features. The trade-off is that you cannot use the following features in the PCL3GUI driver: Preview, rotation, scaling, Office features, Back to front printing. We have seen this in several applications like Photoshop or Acrobat. In other cases, instead of clipping the end of the image, the symptom is that some objects inside the image disappear, we have seen the effect in Acrobat. If possible rotate the image inside the application The number of pixels depends on the driver resolution: When the carriage stops, an horizontal line in a different color might be seen due to the ink that has dried between the different passes of the carriage over the same swath This can occur when you choose a custom page size in Photoshop CS3. The difference between this limitation and the pixels limitation is that in this case you have a reduction of size both in length and in width. In the case of the pixel limitation you only have the reduction in length, but the width is usually printed correctly. It will be kept in this way. The result is that Acrobat will go back to the default selection for page size, which is Letter. If the customer does not realize that the page size changed again after closing the driver dialog, it will look like part of the image is clipped. We have seen this more often in files that are longer than 54” (printing at 600dpi) or 108” (printing at 300dpi). There is a limitation in the way that Acrobat handles EMF files, sometimes depending on the complexity of the EMF file, part of the image is lost. It could be that the end of the image is not printed, or some objects might disappear. Old Acrobat releases had limitations in the length of images that could be printed Please be aware that when you rotate in Acrobat Reader you are just rotating the view but the file is not rotated.

You can do this by going to the Advanced tab of the driver and disabling the Advanced Printing Features. The trade-off is that you cannot use the following features in the PCL3GUI driver: Preview, rotation, scaling, Office features, Back to front printing. Illustrator or Indesign have similar limitations. The number of pixels depends on the driver resolution: The reason is: For all cases, the spool file includes 300dpi data so the maximum length is also 109inches Using this process, most problems can resolved without the need of an on-site visit. If skew check is not used, the View Loaded Paper option will only reflect the estimation made by the printer, and not the real length. If not, install the latest firmware revision. The Service IQ Diagnostic Print is available in the following options: This plot helps you to diagnose in more detail the possible source of any image quality defects. It is accessible through the Service Utility Menu. The purpose of this test is to identify which Printhead is faulty. This test is designed to check any color-to-color and bi-directional misalignment the printer may have. This test is designed to check whether the Printheads and the Media Advance Mechanism are working correctly. This plot is the same as the Image Quality Service Best Plot but uses the Normal Print Mode. These tests provide more information of the IQ defects that we could find in the Image Quality Service plot. For more information, refer to page 1-29, The Advanced Diagnostic Prints. The problem may be with the RIP or the driver. Use the Arrow keys to make the selection and press the OK key to start printing the required Diagnostic Print or to enter the Advanced Diagnostics menu. The diagnostics test prints out every single nozzle of each Printhead without applying an error hiding or alignment algorithm. If one or more of the nozzles are clogged, malfunctioning or mispositioned, you will see that the stepped lines are broken or misdirected in one or more places.

When the line is completely broken, this means the nozzle is out. When the line is misdirected, this means the nozzle is malfunctioning or out of position. If one or more nozzles are misdirected there will be unequal spaces between the corresponding lines. The printer can automatically compensate for nozzle defects, so there is no need to replace the Printhead. This part of the Image Quality Test should NOT be used to check for color consistency or accuracy. The top band has 100 ink density patches while the bottom band has 50 ink density patches. Reprint the Diagnostic Print or the print file and if the problem persists, replace the faulty Printhead. Printer performance can only be guaranteed by using recommended papers. These tests provide more information of the IQ defects found in the Image Quality Service plot. Used to check advance reliability. Used to check pen alignment reliability. Used to check nozzle health reliability. Used to reset the nozzle health historic data base and force new drop detection. Use the Arrow keys to select the Advanced Diagnostics menu. You use it to precisely measure the media advance error with a one dot row accuracy, and to verify the stability of the media advance. The wrong type of paper selected will produce an offset error in the Paper Advance. At the bottom, the Front Panel displays the Paper Advance Calibration status. There are three status messages: Do Not calibrate the Paper Advance for this paper. In this case, calibrate the Paper Advance from the user menu. If the printer continues to have banding and graininess problems, calibrate the Paper Advance from the user menu. The wrong type of paper selected will produce an offset error in the Paper Advance. Do NOT use colored papers or transparent materials such as translucent bond, clear film, matte film, tracing paper, or vellum. To correct light banding, decrease the percentage. To correct dark banding, increase the percentage. {-Variable.fc_1_url-

This action is recommended when: You use it to precisely measure the alignment error with a one dot row accuracy. The lightest band is positioned on the 0 column. In the following example print the lightest segment of the dark band is positioned on the -1 column. The best alignment calibration is obtained using HP Photo Paper. Look at the color bars and lines This test is designed to check that the Printhead nozzles print correctly. The test prints out every single nozzle of each Printhead. No error hiding or Printhead Alignment algorithm is applied. For each Printhead, you can see both the adjacent and the consecutive nozzles. If one or more of the nozzles are malfunctioning or mis-positioned, you will see that the stepped lines are broken or misdirected in one or more places. If one or more nozzles are misdirected there will be unequal spaces between the corresponding lines. The printer has automatic procedures to hide many nozzle defects. A lower print quality is likely to be seen if the print quality slider has been moved to the Speed end of the scale, or the custom quality level set to Fast. Shown below is an example of what you might see if you have this problem: In some cases print quality problems can be resolved by selecting a higher print quality level. Reprint the job in case the problem has been solved. Select the custom print quality options in the Print dialog, try turning on the Maximum detail option. Reprint the job in case the problem has been solved. You can find the Max. Set the Max Application Resolution to 600. Reprint the job in case the problem has been solved. After alignment reprint the job. After calibration reprint the job. If there is a significant amount of nozzles out then replace the defective Printhead. The lines should be straight with no stepping. Try to improve the image with the application that generated the file.

Printing speed will be reduced, and the maximum detail option sometimes causes problems like missing objects or clipped images. For most print jobs, the default resolution is highly recommended. You can find the Max.It is important that the alignment is completed properly, see Aligning Printheads, Page 1-66 It is important that the alignment is completed properly, see Aligning Printheads, Page 1-66 This could be because of the humidity in the air. When printing dense colors, it is recommended to use HP Heavyweight Coated Paper HP Super, Heavyweight Coated Paper or thicker Digital Fine Art papers. Select the custom print quality options in the Print dialog, and try turning on the More passes option. Reprint the job in case the problem has been solved. You can do this through the Printer Utility, see the Users Guide for more details. After alignment reprint the job. This can happen when you use thin paper that becomes saturated with ink. When printing dense colors, it is recommended to use HP Heavyweight Coated Paper HP Super, Heavyweight Coated Paper or thicker Digital Fine Art papers. Here are some example paper types in ascending order of thickness: This is particularly noticeable on coated paper, matte proofing paper, and fine art material. Also, loading media without skew check frequently leads to printing on the platen. Ink residues on the platen are likely to mark the back of the paper. Clean each rib separately without touching the foam between the ribs. In extreme conditions the customers print can look like the image below where the printheads have actually come into contact with the media and scraped off the ink. This problem can happen for different reasons, and will mostly depend on the following factors: Press the Cancel key and also cancel the job from your computer application. Soaked paper can damage the printheads. The orientation of the paper fibers may affect performance.

As the printheads move over the paper, the printheads may touch the paper and smear the image. Try using a heavier paper type, like HP Heavyweight Coated Paper, HP Super Heavyweight Coated Paper or thicker Digital Fine Art papers that can absorb ink without expanding. Here are some example paper types in ascending order of thickness. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Since the notebook only came with 1GB of memory, I'll be upgrading. What is the maximum amount of memory for this model, 2GB or 4GB. I would like to have at least 2, but am willing to pay the difference to go all the way to 4 (rather 3.6 or so in 32 bit Vista). Thanks for any help you might have.I'm not too comfortable installing hacked BIOS files. BTW, what is the most recent BIOS?According to the specs on HP's web page, the max supported is 2GB. However, trying out 4GB wouldn't be a bad idea. Most systems sold these days support 4GB even if the specs dont officially mention it. Just buy the RAM from a place which has a good return policy and you should be fine.Anyone know what the speed of the ram is. I've seen some websites that list it as ddr2 667 (pc2 5200) while Microcenter shows it as ddr2 533 (pc2 4200). My guess would be the ddr2 533 because the FSB on the motherboard is 533. Also, I reformatted vista and installed windows xp after I purchased it. Would upgrading the bios affect my laptop because it doesn't have the original OS. Thanks for your help guys. Link to microcenter with tech specs: So, a DDR2 667MHz memory will downclock to 533MHz. Either memory should work fine, get whatever is cheaper. If you are not experiencing any issues with the current BIOS, I wouldnt bother upgrading. As long as your system runs stable updating the BIOS with XP shouldnt be a problem.According to the specs on HP's web page, the max supported is 2GB. Just buy the RAM from a place which has a good return policy and you should be fine. Click to expand. The 1 gb has to be installed first, then the 2 gb. So I would imagine, 4 gb (2x 2gb sticks) should work too. C700's are suppose to have the Intel GM965 Chipset..Since the notebook only came with 1GB of memory, I'll be upgrading. Thanks for any help you might have. Click to expand. The specifications for memory capacity on HP's product page are incorrect. They specify that the maximum memory is 2 GB. Online several owners of the same machine have reported using 1 gigabyte in the first slot and two in the second slot, with no problem, although 2 GB in the first slot and 1 gigabyte in the second did not work. I tried a 2 GB DIMM in the bottom (first) slot, and with one of the original 512 MB DIMMs in the top slot, the machine would get to the point of asking which operating system to boot to, and then went back to the beginning of the boot sequence. In Windows XP safe mode, the system got as far as loading MUP.SYS, then stalled. Memory self test was okay. With 512 MB in the bottom slot and the same 2 GB piece in the top slot it works fine (so far). I have the F 21 bios. On HP's website for this machine, they list an F. 33 bios under the Vista operating system page, but not the XP page, FWIW. The machine is quite snappy under XP, and though I haven't yet done a head-to-head comparison it seemed slower in Vista. The main benchmark I used was Nuance NaturallySpeaking. On a T2310 Toshiba running Vista Premium the response was definitely too slow. On this machine with the T2330, under Vista Home it was slow, but under XP it's acceptable. This was with 1 GB of RAM. After adding the 2 GB piece and going up to 2.5 GB, it seems to respond a little bit faster, perhaps 30. The main difference is that there's less hesitation with recognition. Accuracy either way has been excellent. I hope this has been helpful. The website just isn't consistent. Download the latest bios regardless and flash awayI even updated my bios to the latest one F.34 from F. 24 that I had previously. But my system is just not able to detect 4 gb memory. When I install both sticks, and restart the computer, it goes to the point of running the Operating System, and the the system restarts. I removed one of the sticks, and left the other 2 gb stick in the bottom slot, and the system booted fine and the windows is able to detect the 2 gb memory. I then removed the 2gb memory from bottom slot, and left the bottom slot empty and installed the 2gb stick in the upper slot, and the system again booted fine with windows detecting 2 gb ram.So can anyone please tell me what can I do so that my system will detect 4 gb ram (or slightly less than that since I have Vista 32 bit OS). A boot-up screen appears for 5 seconds: It displays the firmware version on the bottom left (in this case, it is V6.00) and the security level (in this case, it has not been set). This screen can also be cleared after 5 seconds by pressing the ESC key. 2. Insert the battery adapter into a station by sliding the lower-front part of the adapter into the station towards the display. Press the back end down to close with a click. If adapters are inserted in Stations 1 and 4, a display like this appears: Cadex C7000 Series Battery Analyzer 17 34 If a Universal adapter is used for the first time, NULL CODE appears on the display. You must create a custom C-code (see Create or Edit a C-code, page 59). 3. Insert a battery into the adapter. To clean the battery contacts, use a lint-free cotton swab dipped in 100 isopropyl alcohol. The following message appears when the battery is detected: Note You can set up the Cadex analyzer not to display this message and start service (see Starting Battery Service, page 78). If the display continues to display an Empty message, this means that the Cadex analyzer is not recognizing the battery. There are a number of reasons this may happen: Battery is not inserted correctly. Verify that the battery is correctly and firmly inserted into the adapter. Make sure that the contacts on the battery connect with the contacts on the adapter and check for any switches on the battery. Battery is completely discharged or protection circuits are open.Press ENTER again to confirm the changes. If you want to change any of the settings in the C-code, you should do it now (see Create or Edit a C-code, page 59). Always use the correct C-code, especially the correct chemistry. Failure to do so may damage the battery or cause fire or explosion. 7. If the C-Code is correct, press ENTER to confirm the settings. 8. Press ENTER again to start the battery service. The yellow (run) light appears. Once the service starts, the display will show the current program status as in the following diagram. For detailed information about messages that appear, (see Appendix A - Messages and Warnings, page 132). Cadex C7000 Series Battery Analyzers 19 36 Depending on the battery chemistry and the program selected, service may take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours. Some programs can take several days or weeks. If the battery passes after service has completed, the green Ready light comes on. If a battery failed, the red Fail light appears with a Fail code (see Appendix A - Messages and Warnings, page 132): 9.
