You can still see all customer reviews for the product. I have a PC that is set up for being a Multi-Media center (Home Theater PC) in what we call the Computer room, it has a TV card, cable TV hooked up, Internet, various other media files (music and video) and I use Windows Media Center to watch and record TV shows. It also has players for all kinds of stuff. So the objective was to get it from the HTPC to my home theater which is about 20 feet away through one interior wall (non-load bearing) and I run in a RF rich environment in my home, WiFi, Bluetooth, couple of cell phones and cordless phones all over the place. Set-up could not have been easier, plugged the AirSync SD Transmitter to my PC with the supplied HDMI cable, pluged in the IR Blaster and pointed it at the Windows Media Center (WMC) IR window (so I can use the remote from the living room), and plugged in the power, that was it on the PC side, no software. On the other side, I plugged the AirSyncHD to my Home Theater receiver through an HDMI cable (not provided, I used an Amazon Basics Cable I ordered and it works fine). I plugged in the power and that was it. So far I was into this about 20 mintues including opening it (mostly to read over the instructions which was not needed for my set up). From the living room I used the supplied remote to turn it on, it turned on the computer room side automatically, after a couple of minutes it locked up and the screen came to life, and looked fantactic on the big screen. Now for the real test, play some media using WMC and the WMC remote, it fired up perfectly and the remote worked like a charm as I flipped channels, checked out a couple of recorded shows, some Intnernet TV. Picture and audio were great. Next was the real test, at least for me, this is where the other brand failed, playing surround sound, so I picked Cars 2 from the HTPC's Blu-Ray player and again it worked, 5. http://helices-evra.com/userfiles/creda-fridge-manual.xml
1 audio just as it said (I had also emailed their support before buying to ask this, the competitors model said it supported surround but did not, brite-View support said they did and were right. Next I pulled out my remote keyboard and fired up IE to do some surfing, everyhting again worked perfectly, including multi-media sites like YouTube. I tossed in the latest Pirates of the Carib (had not seen it yet) in the PC BLu-Ray player and settled in for the movie, wanted to see if it was going to have drop outs or noise, no issues at all it played the entire movie and the bloopers without a single dropout. I did notice that if you change video modes or a program does it will have to resync, and takes about 10-20 seconds, but I also noticed that if I just just WMC running, muted and minimized, it took care of it since it keeps Windows in one mode. In other words, your mileage my vary. I did notice that the units run pretty warm when on, cooler when in standby, not sure how that will bode for long life, but I am making sure they have no restrictions around them for air-flow, good idea to keep them clear for better reception also. So as long as you have HDMI available at each end (it is all this offers to connect) and the Wireless works for your location then I can highly recommend the AirSyncHD. It is so great when things just plug in and work! It worked well at first, about 15 feet in distance and through one floor. When I lost power, it would take some time to sync back up. It seemed like there must be some order of resetting boxes that worked best but I never figured it out. Sometimes it synced in a minute or two, sometimes it took an hour, which was frustrating. However, once it worked, it almost always continued to work without interruption. Finally after just over 2.5 years, it didn't recover after a power outage. Usually when I got this message I would see it trying 01, then 02, etc., but this time it didn't actually seem to actually be trying any channels. http://www.bouwdata.net/evenement/elektron-sps-1-manual
All reset efforts failed. I contacted Zinnet for tips. Always got an answering machine and I didn't feel like I could explain all the symptoms in a message, so I emailed. I mailed the box back with tracking, and after hearing nothing for a few weeks (maybe 3? I can't recall) and being about ready to email for status, it came back. I couldn't tell if it was repaired or replaced. The problem was, the new one didn't work as well. I had to play with the positioning a lot more to get it to sync, and it would rarely stay working for a day. In an evening I might lose it anywhere from 2 to 10 times, for a few seconds or longer. I moved both sender and receiver away from the TVs and any other interference such as ductwork but that only helped marginally. I thought toggling wide mode might help even if it might reduce screen resolution, but I wasn't able to find out. Finally, I've given up. I suppose I could contact Zinnet again since they gave me another year warranty, but I feared they'd tell me that the unit is working (it is, if sender and receiver or close enough) and I've got too much interference. It's not fair of me to assume a poor response, but since the price of longer cables has come down quite a bit it was time to go wired. Twisted Veins makes a 100' HDMI cable that works great. I needed the extra length to use a poorly placed conduit. So now my Air Sync boxes are in a box. Please try again later. Stephen D 1.0 out of 5 stars The setup is a very simple process. Plug it in, let it obtain and IP address from your Wifi Network. Getting the IP address is the only consistency. The first set we purchased, lasted about two months. It just died, The power lights turn a pinkish color and neither transmitter (Tx) or receiver (Rx) will respond. I was able to return them back through by getting an RMA from the retailer, but I had to send them to a CA distributor with a residential home address. Weird. Then it took about 10 days to get the replacements. https://www.dermatina100.gr/images/canon-sx120-manual-pdf.pdf
Its been about 3 months now, and the second set is dying. The IR for the menu control that send and receives the menu from your set top box is now dead. And as before, the problems are: serious pixilations that fill the entire screen (looks like a virus that starts from the bottom of your screen an then works its way up and then blacks out the signal all together.) The sound drops erratically and then comes back in, occasional blackouts like a self reboot of the system, then comes back on. The HD picture quality is exceptional!! Very pleased when this thing works but it is more problematic rather than actually working. Junk for the amount of money. Please try again later. Please try again later. Colorado Rockies 1.0 out of 5 stars Post to their forum, they nor anyone else answers (easy question posted 30 days ago, I can see there have been ten views - all me). Call their phone and it always goes immediately to voicemail, leave a message and they won't call you back, send an email and you never hear from them again. For this reason and this reason only I say DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.Please try again later. Please try again later. Chien-Ying Lin 4.0 out of 5 stars It's my favorite MLB playoff season now and I pretty much watch every game. However, my kids want to watch their favorite movies as well. The transmitter streams the signals wirelessly to the receiver and I can watch the games in my room. At the same time, kids can watch Bly-rays in family room where I connect the Blu-ray player to HDTV. And they can just switch the TV's video input options to watch MLB games if they want. The setup is easy and the transmission quality is good so far. I experienced connection drop few times but it picked up quickly in about 10 to 20 secs. Even so, I'm still satisfied with this product! Please try again later. Please try again later. ek 4.0 out of 5 stars The kit does not provide enough.
Both of them are confusing due to over use of technical terms which the everage user do not have a clue what they mean. The extender has 4 little brick looking devices on them and the other is the sensor, of course the HDMI cables are self explanitory. Do not read any instructions. All other pictures are of poor quality. The rest is easy.Enjoy.Please try again later. Please try again later. Sean Johnson 1.0 out of 5 stars I read all of the reviews and tried all of the tricks (wide mode, vertical mount, etc.) but could not get it to work reliably between floors - even when the TX and RX were only a few feet apart. Seems to work ok on the same floor but I didn't leave it run for very long. Remote is useless unless you have a working connection which seems strange if you need to change to wide mode or see what channel you're on. Cordless phone was not in use and I unplugged our wireless router. Going to send it back and hope that someday there's a product that works between floors (normal wood floors). Please try again later. Please try again later. Supercdb 1.0 out of 5 stars However, two issues. The first was that if I was away for a week or longer, it would many times be problematic to get the connection working again. But, the biggest issue is they don't last. I got about 18-24 months out of two sets of the products (the first was the proceeding model)Please try again later. Please try again later. However, the second time on the Super Bowl broadcasted by FOX SUCKED!! If thats indicitive of the next line of products from Brite View. STAY AWAY!!!. The thing just kept cutting out every commercial or just about every 20 minutes for about 60 seconds. The reciever was only about 15ft away from the transmitter through 1 wood frame wall. Absolutely aggravating. Maybe they improved the technology since, but the 2500 but I'm throwing this Brite View thing over the fence or into the trash and hardwiring my DirecTV receiver to my projector in the backyard. 5percent-design-action.com/upload/users/files/Dsc-T50-Service-Manual.pdf

Aide 3.0 out of 5 stars But if you want to watch any Directv local network channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) your out of luck. The picture and audio blank in and out and just won't lock in. On the flip side, all other Directv channels transmit in HD perfectly. I may send my unit back if they don't resolve the problem soon. It's a shame because it does work great otherwise. Check out Brite-Views web site forums for the latest news on this problem. Please try again later. Please try again later. Craig 4.0 out of 5 stars I am transmitting about 20 feet from a basement bedroom up through sheetrock ceiling and hardwood floor and a sheetrock wall on normal setting. From opening the shipping box to having an HD picture on my secondary TV took all of 5 minutes. Would be 5 stars if 2 HDMI cables (one for each Brite View Box) were included at this price point. Please try again later. Please try again later. HI FI KEV GUY 1.0 out of 5 stars It has a 12 month warranty that they strictly enforce. And they warrant the repaired unit for 12 months. This is a bad deal. I think the defect was heat related because sometimes the unit would get very hot to the touch. Very dissapointed. Please try again later. Please try again later. Timothy G. Blum 4.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, and after a few hours trying, it has a little trouble. After a couple hours moving the transmitter farther from the TiVo (max distance is limited by the around 4 ft because of the remote IR blaster that I want to use to control the TiVo from the garage) and moving the box in the garage with a 6m HDMI cable all over the place near the wall closest to the transmitter, I found that if I opened the garage and then stuck the box outside to gain signal it would lock the signal and work pretty well. But that is with the transmitter now placed against a 2nd floor window and we almost have direct line of sight through a window about 40 feet away and the receiver loses signal shortly after I carefully move it 2 feet into the garage and try to close the garage door. So, I have pretty much come to the conclusion that the claimed range is probably overstated, and this thing is probably not any better range than the others out there that claim 66 feet LOS. I had the same results whether I had the WIDE mode on or off (on was supposed to increase the signal range from 66ft to 100 ft LOS for a 1080i or lower signal). For some reason, I only locked signal (and was able to view the remote TV picture) when the display read 3 bars of signal (the max) and it never read fewer bars, it just lost the signal with the blue lights blinking again. Also, pushing the remote buttons seemed to work intermittently-I was trying to change channels and it would sometimes not respond, although that may have had to do with it losing signal or being right on the edge of losing signal. When I had the box about 10 feet away in the same room I was able to cycle through most if not all the channels. I'll keep working on tweaking this setup but I don't think there is something I am missing at this point... our phones are DECT 6.0 and our WIFI network is on 2.4 ghz so we shouldn't be getting too much interference there...
Update: I have been able to get a steady signal with the transmitter positioned just so against the upstairs window (roughly with the top facing out the window and the front facing straight down but at a slight angle towards the garage (stays there by being stuck between a screen and the window), and the receiver in the garage laying flat on the ground near the garage door. Now it actually does show the signal strength at 2 bars and turning on WIDE mode does seem to help to get the signal locked faster (with wide mode off I had to fiddle around holding the box outside the garage at various angles before it locked in) although I don't know if my range increased much as I was also able to lock signal with WIDE off, it just took longer. Please try again later. Please try again later. That is, until the BriteView SyncHD. My source components are about 30 feet from my TV, but it's not quite line of sight.there's a hallway and a wall obscuring the path between them. The other units I tried before the BriteView wouldn't come close to working at the distance I need, and I was frustrated by limited range more than once. Although I don't believe there's anything unusual about my construction (this is just standard residential stuff and interior walls only), the best I saw prior to the BriteView was about a 10' range in my home. When I received the BriteView, I took it out of the box and plugged it into my TV in a quick and dirty way with power cables and HDMI dangling from the wall. I guess I didn't expect it to work any better than previous units. I left it on, carefully hiding it behind my TV, plugging in the IR blaster and so on - and it still works fine. Even with the transmitter buried in my equipment cabinet, I'm getting a solid 3 bars on the signal strength indicator, and my 1080i set top box is now feeding my remote TV, exactly as I want it to. http://www.65doctor.com/upload/admin/files/Dsc-T300-Service-Manual.pdf
In addition to it just working, the included IR blaster operates exactly as I want, so I can use my STB's remote to operate my TV as I walk from one to the other. Really amazing to me.right up there with that first time you figure out you can pause live TV with your DVR. About the only thing that hasn't worked 100 is the dual display capability on the BriteView. Simple enough fix has been to install a powered HDMI splitter, and now all is well. Still, as someone who has tried multiple other solutions for wireless HD, I'm amazed to see it work so well, and I recommend the BriteView totally! Please try again later. Please try again later. Robert Lopez 2.0 out of 5 stars After you get it you read their recommendation to turn other devices that operate in this range off. If you do not want to add to your energy leakage from these units having to be on all the time (and running hot) you may not want this product. If you cannot distinguish between blue, purple, and red, you may not want this product. When this system works it does deliver a nice picture (1080i; I have never been able to get 1080p) and sound. It is however very frustrating as it takes up to tens of minutes to get the product working correctly each time you want to use it. And it will not stay working. At some point it will loose connection. It may be minutes, it may be hours, but it will loose connection. Then it is the very slow channel searching time again. The remote I received seems barely functional. The power button will not turn the receiver unit on. If one keeps trying it over and over it will eventually turn it off. The wide button has never done a thing. The Info button is the only reason I know the remote works at all. It does toggle the information display. The channel button is by far the most intermittent. I know I am to press and then to change channels press again within 5 seconds. This seldom works. If I use the button on the BV-2322R when I press it once I get an instruction to press it again to change channels in an info box on screen. I have never seen that when using the remote. Even the BV-2322R channel button seems to be intermittent as I have to press it may times some times to get the first pressing done, and then it often does not change the channel with subsequent presses before the 5 seconds is up. The source button seems also to never do any thing. If I have info on the screen, pressing source changes nothing. I have a lap top that is configured to trouble shoot wifi problems at work. I have the ability to see all the wifi traffic in an area. There is no other 5GHz traffic from neighbors. My Router is a Cisco Linksys E3000, I have other Cisco devices and other not-Cisco devices that all run in the 5GHz band. I was very disappointed to read of the conflicts. I have always made certain everything else I have that uses 5GHz is off when I have been using the Air SyncHD system. I have not yet tried to run my Cisco Dual-Band Wireless-N Bridge WET610N or other 5G devices to see what happens. I am having too many problems as is. The transmitter and the receiver both runs surprisingly hot to the touch. From what I have read, that may be normal for them. I hope I can get the problems resolved as I do not want to run HDMI cable from the living room to the bed room. Again, the picture and sound are acceptable. It would be a fantastic product if it worked the way one should be able to expect it to work: plus and play. Two last things if you decide to get this product: Save your receipt. You cannot even communicate with service with out it. Do not throw away the box as all the contact information is on the box. It is not in the User's Manual. Update on September 15, 2011. It is a shame that I have to return this product today. When it was functioning the picture and audio were great. If you own a Dish VIP 922 you may not want this product. This products and the VIP 922 remote use exactly the same frequencies and the affect each other. On our Dish bill were a number of PPV movies we never ordered or watched. I finally figured it out. While in the bed room trying to find a channel to get the video back after loosing it, the remote would be controlling the VIP 922. I was able to reproduce the movie purchase while a Dish tech was on the phone so that was reported to Dish. The primary reason for returning it is it stopped working and in 4 days of trying we have not been able to get it to work again. Please try again later. Please try again later. JDJeff 5.0 out of 5 stars I received my units several weeks ago and quickly set them up.only to discover that they didn't work. Couldn't keep a signal locked, bad picture quality when I could get a signal (from 10 feet NLOS!), wouldn't respond to the unit remote or pass the remote signal from my directv remote. Total bust. With more hope than sense, I RMA'd the units back for a replacement and with the new units installed, perfect video and sound with less than 2 minutes of setup. Plugged them in and they worked. Just as advertised! Only one issue is that it won't pass local channels from Directv (local ABC, NBC, FOX etc.). The screen just flashes a picture and then blanks out. Very annoying but the company says it is aware and working on it. Hope so as watching football in my bar is one of the attractions, and my local game will be on my local channels only. It takes about 5 seconds to sync up after you turn it on, and then it works flawlessly. Pass through of commands from the remote to the DVR works great, sound and picture quality are excellent to very good. For reference, the transmitter is located one floor above the receiver, on opposite ends of the room (ie: transmitter is 1 floor up and on the west side of the room above, and the receiver is on the east side of the room on the floor below. Obviously not line of site but I'm still getting 1080P. Please try again later. Please try again later. Smiling Bob 2.0 out of 5 stars This old TV uses component video cables (precedes HDMI) and both the main and remote TV work at the same time off the HD Dish receiver since all outputs seem to be hot simultaneously. A wall separates the transmitter and receiver but they are on the same floor. Broadcasting standard 1080i Dish HD content the Briteview unit works perfectly. No issues at all, no drop outs, and no buyer remorse here. I have not tried 1080p so cannot comment there, but for my needs this unit is fantastic. Highly recommended for Dish HD users. Protip: make sure and use the RF Blaster attachment, as it really makes the remote work much better in the secondary room. Nearly a year of ownership now and our unit is having the dreaded heat issue. Before the heat issue it was rock solid, so I'm guessing the longevity of this product is limited due to the heat it produces which causes inconsistent performance and eventually failure. My Dish box allows me to change resolution, and going to 480p reduced the heat of the transmitter substantially. As noted previously, my units would heat up so badly that they would lose sync at any HD resolution. I ended up purchasing an additional netbook cooler for the receiver as well as the transmitter. This allows the system to transmit 480p video with zero issues but anything more and it gets dicey. This is what I had to do to make it continue to function and I've learned to live with it, for now. YMMV but cooling both units should at least allow the system to broadcast DVD quality video if heat is the issue. No sync, no picture. It's dead, Jim. We milked 26 months out of it by purchasing notebook coolers and using only 480p, which translates to a really poor product that does not deliver what it advertises. If you are reading this review and still considering purchasing one of these, do yourself a favor and just save yourself the headache and just say no.Please try again later. Please try again later. Mike G. 4.0 out of 5 stars Setup was extremely easy. I'm using it to display the HDMI output from a TiVo HD to both a local TV and another TV about 30 feet away, going through a couple walls. The IR remote signal transmission also works well. A few very minor issues prevented me from giving 5 stars overall: after changing channels on the TiVo, the picture comes up almost immediately, but for some reason the sound is muted for about 10 sec.Turning on a 2nd TV when one is already on blanks the picture on the first set for about 15-20 seconds. And finally, there seem to be occasional signal dropouts which affect both the local and remote TV. But these are relatively minor issues, and on the whole I really like the product. Please try again later. Please try again later. Jason Stanley 2.0 out of 5 stars I installed the BV-2322 - which was very easy to do - and followed the setup instructions. No luck. The transmitter and receiver were 16 feet apart. There are two walls (sheetrock and wood only) and a very thin wooden cabinet between the two. I could not get the transmitter and receiver to pair unless I brought the receiver right into the same room as the transmitter. It worked great when I did that, but obviously this was pointless. I managed to pair the receiver and transmitter, then walk the receiver into the intended room and it worked - for about five minutes - before losing signal again. Neither of these solved the problem. While it worked the picture quality was great, and the IR extender worked well also. I am really disappointed that the range simply won't work for my application. It is substantially less than the stated range, so I am really surprised to be having these issues. If you have a similar situation - wanting your TV to show up in a nearby room - I would not recommend this device. Please try again later. Please try again later. Larry Mundy 5. 0 out of 5 stars And, pretty much every time you change DirecTV equipment (sometimes even to replace a unit that dies), you are considered to have re-upped your subscription for two more years. I love the quality of DirecTV's signal, their channel choices, etc., but this aspect of their business model approaches organized crime, in my opinion. It's fully disclosed in their fine print, but I don't like it. Beautiful picture, synched instantly, doesn't need to resynch if you just leave both units on, tiny footprint that was easy to hang next to the outdoor TV. Whatever's playing on the indoor TV (satellite, DVD, Roku box) is available on the second TV, unlike the DirecTV receiver alternative. No degradation of the indoor TV signal with the pass-through feature. Indoor DirecTV receiver has RF remote capability so with one extra remote I can change channels inside or outside. And in less than 2 years, for the cost of a rented receiver I have to give back someday, I have a multipurpose unit that I own and can use as I want. I am a totally happy camper. Please try again later. Please try again later.
