Joe 4.0 out of 5 stars So, this was the simplest alternative. When I got the stand, assembled it, It was apparent that about 50lbs was needed on each side. Now, I am not experienced with heavy bags, a noob, but I found that the bag limited working of foot work. Yes, because of the fact you can't go 360 degrees, but also because of the legs that support the bag, especially when you trow weights of them. So, my solution to this was simple. I took out my reciprocating saw and shorted the front legs so that they did not extend past the bag. I then took the ends and put them back onto the now shorter legs. Drilled appropriate holes and secured this stand directly to the concrete floor. As it comes, with just the long supports and by putting weights on it, it's completely functional, but you'll just have limited foot movement. Overall have with the quality and product.I don't need extra weights for it. I was able to put this together with the help of someone. It wasn't impossible to put together, but you definitely need ATLEAST two people to put it together. When putting up the bag, it would be impossible to do it yourself. The pieces weren't too complicated to put together. The directions weren't great though. Make sure you are always looking at the directions as you are putting this together. You need to make sure you are putting together the right pieces AT THE RIGHT TIME. I messed up a couple of times and had to redo some steps. The directions do not include specific steps. Overall, I really love this stand. It holds up well and I don't have to worry about it falling over.I was super skeptical. I will never buy another Chinese made stand ever again. Please do read and listen. Do not tighten the bolts all the way until the very end. I had issues with the last two bolts they would not match up for some reason. I could not get them to pair up. I eventually did. Everything was going well in under 20 minutes until the last two bolts. That part took me another two dam hours. I almost returned the whole thing. But I finally worked it. Don't use their bolt wrench. Use your own like some one suggested. It is crap. You will have to tighten the stand a few times after use. Get some 25-35 lbs weights to hold it down or will tip over. I used my kettle bells for temporary.This item was packaged extremely well. Every part was protected with plastic, foam and cardboard. Thankfully very little styrofoam. Every part was perfect and the hardware is arrayed on a cardboard platen with shrink wrap. The assembly took about forty-five minutes by myself. First off, this is a pretty simple design. The instructions aren’t much more than a picture, but much more is not really required. I found the holes matched up fine, all the hardware was there, and voila. All put together! This stand is very stable for my type of workout. I don’t do MMA and all that stuff, just plain punching. I’m 6’5” tall, and this stand put my 80 pound bag at a perfect height. That depends on the bag you have, your strength and the floor underneath but since I plan to kick this thing in the future, I’m adding a rubber matt beneath, adding 135lbs on each arm and 45lbs in the back (which won’t be cheap but at least this stand has nice pegs built-in to accommodate plates (I recommend rubber-covered plates if you don’t want to clang-about endlessly). For the price and size of the rack, I am very pleased with it. Recommended. One note: with this regular bag and regular chain attached, I was punching right underneath the top tie-hoops at the top and I’m 5 feet 11 inches. You can see that I had to shorten the chain artificially which isn’t recommended as you have to keep a close eye on the hook, making sure it’s not getting un-screwed.Sorry, we failed to record your vote.
